A Day of Keeping South Florida Cool – Life as an HVAC Tech
6:00 AM – Rise and Shine
My day at Bradley Heating & Air Conditioning starts early. After checking my morning weather forecast, I know we’re in for another scorching Florida day. That means plenty of emergency calls ahead.
7:00 AM – First Call in Wellington
Our first stop is a routine maintenance check in Wellington. These preventive services are crucial – they help homeowners avoid those dreaded emergency breakdowns during the peak summer months. I inspect the condensing unit, check refrigerant levels, and clean the coils.
9:30 AM – Emergency Call in Royal Palm Beach
A distress call comes in from a family whose AC unit stopped working overnight. In South Florida’s heat, this is more than an inconvenience – it’s an urgent matter. After diagnosing the issue, I find a failed capacitor. Fortunately, it’s a quick fix with parts we keep stocked in our service vehicles.
Key Tasks Throughout the Day:
- Performing routine maintenance checks
- Diagnosing system failures
- Installing new air conditioning units
- Educating homeowners about system care
- Providing estimates for replacements
2:00 PM – New Installation in Lake Worth
The afternoon involves installing a new energy-efficient system for a client in Lake Worth. These installations are satisfying – knowing we’re helping families stay comfortable while reducing their energy costs makes the hard work worthwhile.
5:00 PM – Wrapping Up in Palm Beach Gardens
The day ends with a final service call in Palm Beach Gardens. As I complete the paperwork and clean up my work area, I can’t help but feel proud of another day helping our community stay cool and comfortable.
Working at Bradley Heating & Air Conditioning isn’t just about fixing machines – it’s about serving our neighbors throughout Palm Beach County with reliability and expertise, one home at a time.
