Early Mornings and Cool Solutions A Day as an HVAC Professional
5:30 AM – Rise and Shine
As I grab my first cup of coffee, I’m already reviewing the day’s service schedule for Farley & Hysaw. Being an HVAC technician means early starts, especially during peak seasons when our clients need us most.
6:30 AM – Daily Briefing
Arriving at headquarters, our team discusses the day’s priorities. Today’s forecast shows temperatures climbing into the 90s, which typically means emergency calls for AC services will be rolling in.
7:00 AM – First Call
My first appointment is a routine maintenance check. These preventative services are crucial for:
- Ensuring system efficiency
- Extending equipment lifespan
- Preventing unexpected breakdowns
- Maintaining indoor air quality
12:00 PM – Emergency Response
After completing morning appointments, an urgent call comes in about a failing AC unit at a local business. This is where our training really counts – diagnosing and solving problems quickly to minimize downtime.
3:00 PM – Customer Education
Between service calls, I spend time educating customers about their HVAC systems. It’s rewarding to help people understand how to maintain their equipment and improve energy efficiency.
5:00 PM – Wrapping Up
Before heading home, I complete service reports and prepare for tomorrow. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our community stay comfortable, no matter the weather.
Working in HVAC services means no two days are exactly alike, but the satisfaction of solving problems and helping people makes every early morning worth it.
